Finalists Announced in 6th Annual Scottish Property Awards
The 6th annual Scottish Property Awards have revealed the developments and teams which have progressed to the finals following detailed judging of 16 categories.
This year’s competition attracted a record high number of entries from 60 firms across Scotland and were considered by an experienced judging panel during an all-day debating session last week.
Chair of the judging panel Fiona Morton, Chair at Gillespie McAndrew, welcomed 6 new judges to the panel, made up of 21 leading experts from across the sector. The panel reviewed and debated the competition’s highest number of entries in its 6-year history.
Fiona Morton, chair of the Scottish Property Awards judging panel, commented;
“It is encouraging that we continue to see the Scottish Property Awards competition grow. We have welcomed a record high number of both entries and firms into this year’s competition which is testament to the credibility of this now well established and highly regarded awards programme.
The dedication and expertise of the judges on the panel should be highlighted. I really appreciate their contribution giving valuable time and such careful consideration to the challenging job of debating the entries and selecting the finalists from such high-quality developments, projects and teams. I look forward to celebrating an outstanding year in Scottish commercial and public property at the awards ceremony in February.”
Finalists in the hotly contended Deal of the Year, sponsored by PMP, will be announced in January and the winner will be announced at the award ceremony in February following a live vote on the night. The prestigious Business Leadership Award sponsored by Bank of Scotland will also be announced at the award ceremony. This year, the judging panel have also decided to present a special award, the Judges Award of Excellence, which will be sponsored by Business Insider.
The Scottish Property Awards dinner and celebration takes place on Thursday 28 February 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Glasgow. To book tickets visit the Scottish Property Awards website.
