The 2nd Annual Scottish Rum Awards Officially Launched for 2025
Following the success of its debut last year, the Scottish Rum Awards is proud to return for its second year, opening for entries and setting the stage for another celebration of Scotland’s growing and dynamic rum industry.
The 2025 Scottish Rum Awards will once again take place alongside the Scottish Gin Awards and the Scottish Distillers Conference, bringing together the best in Scottish spirits for an unforgettable evening of celebration, recognition, and networking.
Now firmly established on the spirits calendar, the Scottish Rum Awards shines a spotlight on the passionate distillers and producers who are helping shape the future of Scotland’s emerging rum sector. With an exciting blend of newcomers and established names, the awards celebrate innovation, flavour, and entrepreneurial spirit across the industry.
The inaugural year saw 34 entries from 16 rum businesses across Scotland, a powerful testament to the enthusiasm and talent within this growing community. In 2025, even more entries are expected as the Scottish rum scene continues to evolve and flourish.
A panel of expert judges will once again lead the rigorous blind tasting assessment, sampling and scoring each entry under strict, independent conditions. The top-performing products will be revealed at the awards celebration in October, following a thorough audit and verification process.
